Hi readers!
Here’s a page from my first attempt at a comic tale of THE DILDO. Cards on the table, my family and I all had covid this month so it kept me out of action for a while. But knowing I had to get this letter out was a good incentive to GET SOMETHING DONE. So I feel okay about that.
Since I am lacking in content this month here’s a few process shots that you may find interesting. Is this interesting? Do let me know because I can always post more as I go.

I spent far too much time nerding out on how best to scan line art. If you want to do the same I highly recommend checking out Living The Line’s article on this. Also their YouTube channel is an incredible resource.
Thought Bubble
My first trip to the Thought Bubble comic art festival was a real eye opener. It was far bigger than I was expecting and choc full of really interesting people and comics of every flavour imaginable. My buddy and I were particularly impressed with how open and diverse it was. Also how the big industry folk were rubbing shoulders with small indie creators, and it was all cool. Everyone was on the level.
I spoke to some proper hero type people like Glyn Dillon (author of NAO OF BROWN, and designer of KYLO REN and the bloody Pattinson BATSUIT!), Lucy Sullivan and Anna Readman. Picked up some sage wisdom on Indie publishing. I handed out my zines to everyone I spoke to. I think I netted maybe two new followers on Instagram so I’m absolutely slaying it right now.
If you want one of these little 6 page zines, shoot me your address and I’ll send you it FREE OF CHARGE (UK only, while stocks last)
My top purchases at the festival:
Peach Fuzz by Anna Readman. Buy it here.
Barking/Shelter Early Doors by Lucy Sullivan.
That’s it for the moment. I hope you have a riveting festive period, whichever deities hold your respective allegiance!
TTFN!
Carl
