I’m super pumped that my application for a table at Thought Bubble was a success! It’s my first time exhibiting my stuff anywhere EVER! I’m super grateful to the organisers for taking a chance on me, and I just want to say thanks to you for subscribing to this and giving me the impetus to keep going! I’ll be there with my pal/project manager/pub confidant Christian who will hopefully let me go to the toilet periodically.
I’ll be selling a 28 page anthology comic book of my stories, including this one currently in the planning stage.

POMODOROS
The other day I was in the shower musing how I should really start doing Pomodoros again and furthermore, why I’d lost interest in the first place. I concluded that writing the tallies on scraps of paper had become boring to me. And so, perhaps unwisely, I decided to design and make a custom booklet for this sole purpose.
Three days later I had figured out the dimensions, chosen card stock, taught myself Japanese “Stab” binding, printed out my own custom grid paper and constructed the damn thing.
I may have to chalk this one up to extreme procrastination, but if it makes me get my head down and work for 25 minutes I’m onto a winner. I suppose when I’ve done over three days worth of Pomodoros I’ll start making a time profit.
ART SUPPLY OF THE MONTH: STABILO BOSS REFILL
Did you know that STABILO BOSS highlighter pens are REFILLABLE?? No, me neither, but it’s true! Trouble is they’re not readily available in the UK, which is just the sort of exclusivity that gets me hot under the collar. Buoyed with excitement I tracked down a pink one from Cult Pens to test during the Lockdown. (even listed as “very rare.” Swoon!)
And so my refill sachet sits in my drawer. Lying in wait like a coiled spring. Longing for that day somewhere in the distant future when I have actually used my pink highlighter enough to warrant refilling.

I don’t know if I was rebounding from the excitement of getting my table at Thought Bubble, but a week ago my self confidence seemed to completely bottom out. Since then I’ve been plagued with thoughts of self doubt. This is an old enemy I’m familiar with by now.
It makes little logical sense to be accepted for something you do, and then think you’re rubbish at it. So I’m holding on tight and telling these thoughts to naff off. Fist bumps to all in the same boat.
